When Dave and I first got together I remember him telling me that his dream car was an Audi R8 and that one day he would own one. I had no idea what that was of course, so I googled it and immediately thought holllly moly he won’t be getting one of these till he’s at least 50. Erm, looks like I was wrong! 

Apparently in the midst all of our engagement excitement (eeek!) Dave decided the time had come so he went out and bought his dream car :)

I told him he should write a guest post on this because really, what the heck do I know about cars? But he was being a shy bear so I’ll speak on his behalf.

This car is DOPE. And rocket ship level fast. And loud. And shiny.

Strangest part about it? The trunk (or boot as the Brit’s call it) is under the hood (bonnet). It’s also about 1 ft x 1 ft so our grocery shopping is now limited to 1 item per week.

Basically it’s a freakin’ sweet car and I’m so excited for Dave that he managed to achieve two of his life long dreams in one week. Though I am a little worried he may be peaking too soon…just kidding ;)

Now let’s see how long it takes me to convince him to let me drive it around!

On February 20th Dave proposed to me in beautiful York, England on our 1000th day together and it was without a doubt the happiest moment of my life!

And while Dave was still down on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hand I was busy jumping up & down on our hotel room bed shouting “YES! OF COURSE! YES! ” like a maniac. Love makes you do crazy things, right? ;)

Eeeek! My absolutely beautiful ring that I can’t stop staring at! Dave designed it himself and it is so so perfect for me!

I really just feel like the luckiest person in the world that I get to spend the rest of my life with my most favorite person ever!!

Over the holidays while I was in Florida I caught an episode of Dr. Oz where he was interviewing one of the Biggest Loser winners. The girl told Dr. Oz that she wears a bracelet 24/7 that has words of encouragement on it so that each day she is reminded of her goals.

I absolutely loved the idea of having something like that and immediately started thinking of words that mean something to me. I had a few ideas in mind but none of the words were really standing out to me.

Luckily, a few days later when my mom and I were wandering around Francesca’s Closet we found a leather wrap bracelet with one of my favorite sayings on it:

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”- Norman Vincent Peale

As soon as I read it I knew exactly what word I was going to use.

Change.

And as cute as the leather wrap was, I already had my mind set on ordering another George Bracelet from the lovely, Jaclyn Anthony.

As expected, the bracelet arrived in the cutest packaging.

In my email to Jaclyn I explained to her that I planned to wear it everyday and she kindly doubled up the leather for me so it would last.
